THE BROE COMPANIES ANNOUNCES THREE SENIOR EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS

Denver, Colorado – February 2005: The Broe Companies has announced three senior executive appointments in concert with the company’s accelerating domestic and international acquisition and investment expansion strategies. The company is experiencing major growth in each of its primary businesses including real estate, transportation, strategic capital, and energy.
Jack Edwards has been named The Broe Companies' Chief Operating Officer; Bob Jacobs, Chief Investment Officer; and David Maytubby, Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Edwards, Chief Operating Officer, has previously served as a managing director of The Broe Companies and also served on its advisory board since 2002. He is the former president and CEO of American Medical Response and held similar assignments at Danzas Corporation and Itel Transportation Services. He is known as an expert on developing new business opportunities as well as operations and management.
Mr. Jacobs, Chief Investment Officer, has held a senior executive position at The Broe Companies for over 20 years. He has been instrumental in identifying, analyzing and closing many large national and international business transactions. Prior to his new position, Mr. Jacobs was Chief Operating Officer. Previous to The Broe Companies, Mr. Jacobs was with Fuller Commercial Brokerage in Chicago (now Royal Lepage) as a real estate market analyst.
David Maytubby, Chief Financial Officer, previously served as The Broe Companies' Senior Vice President of Finance and Company Treasurer. With over 20 years, experience in public/private fi nance, Mr. Maytubby has worked with many of the world’s largest financial institutions negotiating complex business transactions. Prior to joining The Broe Companies, he served as vice president–finance, treasurer and secretary at Brightlink Networks, Sunnyvale, California.
